I Find some of the most beautiful people out and about at night. this lovely lady was just another person I was pleased to run into her style and beauty was effortless and simply amazing.

What were you thinking?

Didn’t think much about what I was going to wear tonight actually, I am meeting my boyfriend here for cocktails and dancing and just wanted to look really sexy.

So what do you do?

I am actually a model.

How Is life as a model?

Life as a model is hard, it’s not all Hair, Make-Up, photo shoots, and runway shows it’s crazy at times but I like it.

What was the craziest thing that you heard from an agency on a go see?

Ummmmm I think that I was too big and needed to lose weight, that was one of the craziest things I have heard from a very well-known business.

Who Was it?

LOL!!!! I tell you but you can’t blog about it because I do plan on working with them.

So you are going to lose weight to work with this company?

No I’m not going to lose weight, I am already thin but I am doing yoga to tone up have a more lean looking body I guess.

Spotted a limo down town Detroit and was curious as to who was inside and what was going on the sound of music and the bass pulsed thru the tinted windows and I could hear the faint sound of laughter. curiosity took hold and I couldn’t help but approach and knock on the limo’s back window. someone from inside cracks the back window and I begin to quickly explain my mission before they think i’m some weirdo, even tho my friend assured me they still would think I was weird. Long story short these three very stylish fashion forward youngins were very friendly, inviting me inside the limo before they headed inside the club for a Birthday Celebration. Once again Fashion was in the air I love it the intoxicating smell of Bvlgari Aqva , Versace Bright Crystal, and Yves Saint Laurent Paris were the smells filling the limo.

What were you thinking!?!

Honestly we were thinking what everyone else thinks when they get ready to go out, we were thinking we wanted to look fly but not take it too serious and be over styled we are fun so we wanted that to be reflected in what were where wearing tonight.

 How would you describe your style?

When it comes to style it so simple it’s like the people at sprite say ” Obey Yo Thirst”. I think we all like trendy pieces but it’s another thing to let them pieces define you. If you get caught up in trends and Fashion critics saying this is hot this is not hot then who are you really, fashion is supposed to be fun and is an expression of who you are, and what you are feeling. So to answer your question when it comes to describing my style it’s fun, it’s me.

 What are you wearing Tonight?

We are wearing a bit of everything Louis Vuitton , Max Azria ,Michael Kors , BeBe, 7 Jeans, Betsy Johnson and theres some vintage pieces thrown in for fun.

Expensive Taste so what do you do?

We all work and go to school, looking nice is an addiction especially when you like nice things like we do but we work hard for it so why not.

October 27th 2009 I was at Meijer of  all places when I spotted this guy very stylish in dress, just cool comfy relaxed, but still had an edginess about him enough to make me stop my grocery shopping for a minute and approach him, I so wasn’t prepared the last place I would spot a trendy person was at Meijer but I did, so from now on I will be with camera in hand even if I am going to the local speed way.

OH wow!!!! Ummmm I wasn’t thinking I just grabbed a few pieces and this is what I came up with.

How would you describe your style?

I never think about it! I just throw on what I think is comfortable; it just so happens that people seem to enjoy what I piece together.

Do you work out?

LOL! I would be lying if I said I hit the gym every day, I’m not a big fan of doing so but I make it a point to do so at least once a week.

I don’t like to shop; I don’t find things they find me. But if and when I’m in the mood to shop it’s all done online.

A Night Out On the Town

I was out and about in Detroit waiting for a friend so that we could hit a local night club, still kinda excited about my whole blog topic and how people will take me asking them such a forward and seemingly rude question “what were you thinking”. My friend finally arrives and I head to the entrance camera in hand hoping to find my first entry for my blog. Once inside I do a quick scan of the bar nothing special, nothing worthy of taking pictures of so I spend about 5 okay 10 minutes taking pictures of myself. When the clouds parted and the angles sung heavily praise and in walks who I deemed “Sexy In The City”. These ladies were not only lovely but from head to toe fashion, they looked like fashion, walked like fashion, they wore the very smell of fashion literally. So I have found what I was looking for now It’s time to approach I give the ladies a few minutes to work the room and get a drink in hand whatever before I start with my questionnaire. I head to the bathroom to check myself make sure I’m on point, nothing stuck in teeth, nothing on face, clothes neat I look together and very handsome I might add. I walk out and spot the four lovely ladies perched on top of bar stools, just being girls a toss of the hair, a girlish giggle, the jingle of bracelets while one reaches inside her purse to grab her mac lip glass. I am walking over and telling myself ” it’s not the question, it’s how the question is asked” . I introduce myself to the four beauties, the lovelies now all have names Chris, Rocky, Desiree, and Candice (all in order according to the picture to the left). I let the ladies know about the project that I am working on and that I am really impressed with their fashion sense and from there I begin to photograph and question the Sexy in the City girls.

We were thinking that we wanted to get noticed, but in a good way of course.

How would you describe your style?

Well we each have our own style but collectively we are the perfect blind of flashy, sexy, vintage, and classy.

Where do you Shop?

Everywhere, whatever store, shop, boutique has the most unique pieces we’ll find them.

What are your favorite fashion movies?

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Auntie Mame, All about Eve, Eyes of Laura Mars, and The Devil wears Prada.

Hello

How many times have you worked with someone and then bumped into them on the streets and have been either shocked, amazed, or just completely taken back by how they look outside of the work place. On the streets is where fashion is alive every handbag, every glossy shade of nail polish, every pair of shoes scuffed or polished tells a unique yet very different story.  You see people every day, strutting rather in a mall, down the street, or at your local corner store, flaunting their style. As you fight the urge not to stare, you can’t help but admire their taste, but cringe at the thought of you trying to pull off such an extreme and unique look, but at the same time admire their courage. Perhaps you’ve wanted to stop them, grab them by their zebra striped lapels, and ask them just what they were thinking when they got dressed that morning. That’s where I come in I’ll do the stopping for you. Over the course of 5 weeks I will keep an eye out for eye popping jaw dropping fashion all over the city, have an impromptu photo shoot and simply ask, what were you thinking?
